We donated $25,000 to foster kids!

The holidays can be an especially difficult time for thousands of foster kids away from family and friends. Together we can help these children find joy, laughter and spark their creativity by receiving a Kiwi Crate just for them. Not only are these crates packed with fun and tell them someone cared about them but they also spark creativity and can bring joy back to learning, giving them confidence to find their strengths in the classroom.

Thanks to our amazing subscribers, aka YOU, and in partnership with Ticket to Dream Foundation, we will donate $25,000 worth of KiwiCo crates to foster kids this holiday season. As you know, the gift of a KiwiCo crate is much more than just a toy; for these children, it’s an experience that sparks creativity and brings joy to learning — and a reminder that someone cares about them.

Educational Stats for Foster Youth:

  • Only 50 % of foster youth graduate high school
  • Foster children repeat a grade twice as often
  • With each home move foster children lose 3-6 months of educational readiness

General Stats:

  • There are over 400,000 foster children in the US
  • 1 child enters foster care every 2 minutes

Thank you so much for sending the delight of a KiwiCo experience to the loved ones in your life and for helping us to deliver that delight to thousands more kids with Ticket to Dream!

  1. Thank you so much for your donation of Kiwi Crates to foster children. This gift is near and dear to our hearts because our daughter, Lexi, who is a monthly recipient of your Tinker Crates used as part of her homeschool curriculum, was once our foster child. When she was placed in our home at the age of 22 months, she was extremely developmentally delayed. We began working with her and exposing her to resources like your products, hoping to help her catch up to her peers, or at least be able to discover her true potential. Little did anyone suspect that, at the age of 7, she would be given testing to determine that she is actually Gifted.

Thank you for giving other foster children the gift of learning in such a fun way! Our daughter looks forward to receiving her Tinker Crates each month, and is excited to be able to discover what new treasure trove of learning is contained in the familiar box. It’s exciting to know that other children still in the foster care system will be able to discover the joy of quality, hands-on learning.

May God bless you for your thoughtful gift!

  2. I just ordered for the 2 foster kids that we are currently taking care of for Christmas. I did not know that foster kids were the recipients of this wonderful product. How might I register them for future deliveries? I ordered the 3 month package because of the cost and because they may be transitioning back to their mom after that time but they love when my younger daughter receives her box. That was the primary reason that I ordered for them for Christmas.

I would also like to pass this info on to the agency to which I am registered for other foster families may be made aware of this opportunity. I look forward to your response.
