How we did it:

Materials List

  1. paper - red, white, and blue
  2. scissors
  3. pen (or marker)
  4. glue
  1. Trace your child's hand onto a piece of paper or have your child trace their own hand. You will need four handprints.

  2. Trace a circle for the base of your fireworks.

  3. Cut out the handprints and the circle.

  4. Glue the handprints onto the circle to make your fireworks.

  5. Tape them up in a window or on a sliding glass door to decorate for the Fourth of July. The sun shines through and the outlines of their tiny hands bring a smile to my face each time I see them.
