Art Jar Vase
How we did it:
- paint markers - or pens that can write on glass
- mason jar
We began by laying down newspaper and I had to "prime" the markers. This was done by shaking them, then pressing down the tip on the newspaper until the ink flowed. Once they were primed, my daughter took over!
We talked about colors as she set to work decorating the glass jar. She wanted to use all the colors in the pack of markers.
After she was happy with her work, I set the jar aside to dry.
After the jar was dry, my daughter helped me fill it with water and we added some pretty seasonal flowers. Grandma was so surprised! Plus, she now has a vase she can use over again that was made by her granddaughter!
