Balloon Decorating

How we did it:
Materials List
- balloons
- black cardstock
- tape
- handle knife or scissors - (we used an X-acto knife
- balloon led lights - (available at any party store like Party City, or Amazon)
- craft hole punch - (optional)
- balloon pump - (optional)
-
Twist to turn on a balloon LED light, and put the light in a balloon.
-
Blow up the balloon to the size you wish your monster to be, or try a balloon pump! Once the balloon is full of air, tie the end into a knot to make sure no air escapes.
-
Tape the end of the balloon onto your working surface. We used masking tape, but you can use whatever tape you have around the house!
-
To make a monster faces on the balloon, cut out eyes, a mouth, and other shapes from black cardstock.
Tip: Use a craft hole punch to make circles and a handle knife to cut organic shapes! -
Apply glue to the back of your cardstock shapes with a glue stick. Then, carefully press the shapes onto the balloon.
-
Once you're done decorating the balloons, it's time to find a place for them amongst the Halloween decor! Tape the balloons to your windows, walls, or floor, and enjoy these glowing monsters!
Balloon lights normally last about 2 days. To reuse the lights, you'll have to pop your balloon monsters.
