Bead Bowl

How we did it:
Materials List
- perler beads
- oil
- glass bowl
-
Perler beads usually come with forms that you can place the beads on and with an iron, you connect them to make shapes. This is a lot of fun and great for fine motor skills.
-
To make a bowl we first greased a glass oven safe bowl and preheated our oven to 350 degrees.
-
Emma added beads to the bowl and pressed them down and up the sides to make a flat layer of single beads. It already looked so beautiful!
-
Grown-up step, I placed it in the oven and watched it carefully. Our bowl took about 10 minutes to melt and become one. I took it out of the oven and found out after a few bowls that the secret to removing it easily is to remove it while it is still warm. I used a butter knife to loosen the edges and then peeled it off.

Our bowl came out so pretty we couldn't stop making them! Of course this is a decorative bowl that should not be eaten out of.
