Beaded Coasters

How we did it:
Materials List
- beads
- medium-weight cardboard
- glue
- paint
- paintbrush
- scissors
-
Use whatever beads you like for this project, just make sure they're a similar size, so that your coaster is evenly flat.
-
The first thing to do was to paint the cardboard. Easy enough!
-
When the paint was dry, Madeleine coated the coaster with glue.
-
Then she sprinkled on seed beads....
-
and when the coaster was covered the way she liked, she took a glass, and rubbed it over the beads, making sure they were flat, and that the cup would sit solidly on the coaster.
-
She wanted to make a spiral design with pony beads, so she strung beads, and pasted them on as before.
-
The last thing to do was to line the back with felt.... Maddie used her coasters as a template,
-
and she spread glue then pasted on the felt.
-
They're finished! And perfect for glasses of ice cold lemonade on the patio table!
