Box Toss

Box Toss

Inspired by the game of Corn Hole, this simple tossing contest uses recycled cardboard boxes (or KiwiCo crates!) Set up in the backyard and see who gets the most points. For tossing objects, try whiffle balls, ping pong balls or even walnuts!

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. cardboard boxes (2 to 3)
  2. drinking glass or other round object (for tracing a circle)
  3. pencil or pen
  4. craft knife
  5. acrylic paint in three colors plus white
  1. Step 1

    Gather the materials.

  2. Step 2

Place the glass upside down on one of the boxes. Use the pen to trace around the glass to make a circle.

  3. Step 3

Use the craft knife to cut out the circle. Repeat this process with the other boxes. Make sure to save the round circles!

  4. Step 4

Paint the box with a white base coat. (A white base coat will help brighten the colors!)

  5. Step 5

Paint the boxes and the circles in different colors!

  6. Add point scores to the circles and glue each one to a box.

  7. Step 7

Line up the boxes and get tossing! Who will get the biggest score?
