Bubble Necklace

Bubble Necklace

My daughter is a fan of all accessories (already at the age of 6!) With back to school approaching we thought we would make a few fun accessories for her to wear to the first grade. It's inexpensive, but best of all gets the kids thinking creatively!

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. round wooden beads - large
  2. acrylic paint
  3. twine
  4. paint brush
  1. We used a metallic paint for this to get the beads shiny looking. If you use a regular paint color it might be nice to use a coat of gloss afterwards to give it that clean shiny look.

  2. My daughter found it easiest to add all the beads to a cup and paint them while in the cup. Interesting, I know, but it worked.

  3. We dumped them out onto paper and touched up a few spots.

  4. Once dry she threaded her beads onto twine. This came out better then I expected. I may be making one for myself next!
