Celery Stamped Napkins

This year, get ready for Mother's Day brunch by making personalized napkins. You can create your very own stamped napkins with a stalk of celery! The end result is a one-of-a-kind Mother's Day gift. You can also try out different vegetable patterns such as bell peppers, okras, or lotus roots.
How we did it:
Materials List
- fabric paint or acrylic paint
- spouncer
- cloth napkins - blank
- celery
- paint tray
- knife - for the grownup assistant
-
Gather your materials!
-
Start by preparing the celery stamps. Cut off the stems of a celery bunch. You'll be left with a root stub and several stalks of celery
-
Squeeze out several colors of paint onto a paint tray.
-
Lay your napkins out on a surface. You may want to cover your work surface so the paint does not bleed through the napkins and onto the work surface.
-
Use the spouncer to apply paint onto the celery, and then start stamping away! The root stub can be used to create a large rose. The ends of the stalks can be used to make leaves. Or, you can make any pattern you want with the edges of the celery.
-
Once you are done stamping, let the paint fully dry before you use your napkins!
