Oven-bake clay is so versatile. This time, we used it with some candy molds to make sea creature charms.

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. oven-bake clay
  2. candy mold
  3. toothpicks
  4. twine
  1. Follow the cooking instructions on your clay and preheat your oven. Our cooking temperature was 275 degrees. This is an adult-only step!

  2. To make charms with more than one color, the kids started layering their clay in the molds.

  3. Press firmly to make sure the mold's image transfers cleanly.

  4. We carefully pulled each shape out. Next, we used a toothpick to make a small hole in the top. (This step is optional. We wanted to wear ours like a necklace.)

  5. We baked them for about 15 minutes on a baking sheet. Once they were cool, we added some twine and had the perfect summer charm!
