Confetti Cork Board

Confetti Cork Board

My children create a lot of art and I love displaying it. Not only because I love what my kids create, but because it gives them pride in what they make and confidence to make more. We're quickly running out of space on the refrigerator but I found an old cork board in the garage. So the kids and I turned it into a piece of art to display art! Lovely, right?

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. cork board
  2. paint
  3. cotton swabs / q-tips
  1. We used acrylic paints for this, but if you would rather not commit to dots all over the kids' clothing, just yet feel free to use a less permanent paint. You will get the same results.

  2. I added the first few dots myself and waited for little eyes to perk up. I love to get my children interested and engaged without saying a word. It shows me they love this just as much as I do.

  3. We had a Q-tip for each color so we kept nice bright colors and didn't end up with any muddy browns.

  4. I left this out, and the kids added dots to the board here and there. Emma stopped by while I was preparing meals. Grayson added some more splashes of color while I was doing dishes.

  5. It went from a few dots to a blanket of beautiful colors.

  6. It was the perfect place to display beautiful art by my little artists.
