Dinosaur Dig Sensory Bin

Dinosaur Dig Sensory Bin

What we have here is an archeological dig site for dinosaurs -- or simply a dinosaur dig sensory bin!

<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. beans (assorted dry) - black-eyed peas, large lima beans, split peas, & pinto beans
  2. beads (brown glass)
  3. plastic dinosaurs
  4. popsicle sticks
  5. rake
  6. containers to sift & sort
  7. plastic container or tub
  1. Start by gathering your materials. The dry beans & glass beads represent the rocks for the dinosaur dig.

  2. Next, gather your tools, V was a big help with this part. Anything goes for this part, we used things we had around the house. The tools we used were popsicle sticks (digger & excavator), a rake (digger & excavator), a plastic soap holder (sorter), an egg carton (sorter), a sink drainer (sifter), a measuring cup (sorter & measurer), a cardboard plant pot (sorter), and a plastic container (specimen jar)

  3. Next, we dumped all the materials into the bin. This, by far, was V's favorite part. And then add your selected tools for your dig site.

  4. That concludes your archeological dig site - let the dinosaur excavating begin!
