Fabric + Scissors = Pouches for Treasures

Your kids get to capitalize on their tendency to collect "treasures" by making small bags out of fabric.  Parents help the kids make the bags with few ingredients, and let them explore in or outdoors and collect treasures!

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. fabric
  2. scissors
  3. ribbon - optional
  1. Cut the fabric into a circle (decide size based on size of pouch).  

  2. Cut slits around the circle every 1-1.5 inches.  

  3. Weave either a long, thin piece of fabric, or ribbon through the bag to create a drawstring.  Tie the ends together.  

  4. Collect treasures and explore!
