Flag Tree

While at the craft store the other day, I grabbed a pack of those stick-on flags that are used to highlight or mark a page. I wasn't sure what to do with them, but knew they would be fun for the kids. My five-year old added them to a craft stick to create some fun little trees. Love how her mind works!
How we did it:
Materials List
- stick-on highlighting flags
- craft sticks / popsicle sticks
- markers - optional
-
We had never used these flags before, but they were a lot of fun for the kids to pull apart and stick all over. They love when they get to use "grown-up" materials!
-
Emma grabbed a large craft stick and started to draw bark and tree stump swirls on it. "Great idea," I thought!
-
She turned the flags into leaves, and loved the different color options.

Both my kids loved playing with their little trees. My two-year old thought it was fun to blow the leaves and watch them move. Super cute!
