Flexible "Glass" Sculpture

How we did it:
Materials List
- contact paper
- scissors
- tissue paper scraps
- wire
-
Begin by laying down some thin-gauge flexible wire on a square of clear contact paper. You can find wire at your local craft or floral store.
-
Next, lay out some tissue papers scraps or squares. My daughter delighted in pressing down each piece of tissue paper to make her sculpture.
-
When my daughter was happy with her handiwork, I trimmed the contact paper around the wire, being sure to leave a little overlap.
-
My daughter had fun bending and twisting her pretend glass sculpture around like the glass blowers did. The wire makes it flexible and bendable!
-
We even tried shining a flashlight through it to make it look bright and hot like at the glass blower! Have fun creating!
