Folded Paper Animals

How we did it:
Materials List
- construction paper (or heavy paper)
- scissors
- markers
-
Construction paper is the perfect weight for this craft!
-
Madeleine drew the giraffe, drawing the jaw and face on top of the ears, so that it could be folded...
-
then down the neck, and out to the legs (an 'h' shape)...
-
then cut it all out, and colored the spots.
-
We bent down the head, and she drew on the face.
-
One of our favorite parts of our zoo is the polar bear... we must have one! And a crocodile! With teeth!
-
To add more dimension to the animals, we cut slits at the top of the fold, and added in pieces: ears... eyes...and a horn for the rhino.
-
You could add ears this way for an elephant, or a mane for a lion!
-
What other fabulous creatures can be made? An elephant? Lizards? How about a camel!?!
