Folded Paper Stars

How we did it:
Materials List
- paper
- scissors
- glitter - optional
- glue - optional

Paper chains and stars are just a part of the holidays, aren't they? We'll just smile and get out the glitter!
-
We started with an 8x10 piece of paper, and folded it in half.
-
We needed to know the half-point here, too--it can be measured, or folded to find the half mark.
-
We rotated the paper so that the fold was on the left side, then folded the top corner down to the marked point on the edge.
-
We took the bottom left, and folded it up,
-
then took the top edge,
-
and folded it down,
-
and tucked it inside our previous fold.
-
Now we had this, and we positioned our scissors to cut at this angle, toward about half-way up. This particular paper was heavy construction paper, so Maddie needed help with the cutting.
-
We unfolded.... and had our star! Some of the folds were backwards, so we shaped
-
and reinforced them to lie properly.
-
Time for the pretties!
-
Beautiful, sparkly stars for beautiful, sparkly holidays.
