Homemade Granola

How we did it:
Materials List
- oatmeal (3 cups)
- raisins (1 1/2 cups) - or dried cranberries
- chopped nuts (1 cup)
- nutmeg (1 teaspoon)
- cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
- sunflower seeds (1/2 cup)
- canola oil (1/2 cup)
- maple syrup (3/4 cup)

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl.

Let your child measure and pour. There was a little bit of a mess, but that was half the fun.

Stir the mixture. Make sure the dry ingredients are completely coated.

Pur the mixture onto a baking sheet and press it down with your hands.

Adult step: Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown. Once it is cool, break the granola into small pieces. Store it in a covered container. It is so delicious!
