Ice Cream in a Baggie

This all-natural ice cream recipe is fun to make all-year round--no ice cream maker required!

Materials List

  1. milk (1 cup)
  2. vanilla extract (1 tsp.)
  3. honey (1 tbsp.)
  4. sandwich bag / small ziplock bag
  5. plastic gallon bag / large ziplock bag
  6. ice cubes
  7. salt (6 tbsp.)
  1. Pour 1 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon of honey into a small baggie and seal.

  2. Fill a large baggie 1/2 full with ice cubes and add 6 tablespoons of salt.

  3. Put the small baggie into the big baggie and seal. Shake the baggies for about 8 minutes or until the ice cream begins to harden.

  4. Scoop the ice cream out into a bowl and enjoy. We topped our ice cream with caramel sauce--yum!
