Little White Duck

Maddie and I both cooed over this darling Little White Duck made from handprints and tissue... show him off by himself, or give him a pond to play in!

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. paper
  2. bathroom tissue or facial tissue
  3. glue
  4. construction paper
  5. pencil
  6. scissors
  1. If you don't have black or orange construction paper, just color or paint them on a white piece of paper.

  2. Another project with sweet little hand prints. Mamas sure do love that! One hand Maddie traced by herself, the other she needed help with. We needed one footprint, too.

  3. Madeleine cut them out....

  4. and then pasted the handprints to the back of the shoe-print body.

  5. The next step was to make feathers! She pulled apart the two-ply tissue,

  6. then put glue in a large area, and started tearing off bits of tissue and sticking them to the paper.

  7. When her duck was all fluffed up, she drew and cut out eyes, a beak, and feet,

  8. and glued them into place.

  9. She wanted him to have a background, so we got a piece of plain paper wet, and she blotted on green for grass, and blue for water. Now he had a home.

  10. Quack!
