Melted Peppermint Bowl

Put your leftover peppermint candies to good use and make a yummy tasting ice cream bowl!

Materials List

  1. peppermints
  2. oven
  3. baking sheet
  4. parchment paper
  5. glass bowl - small
  6. oven mitts
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then, line a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper. 

  2. Arrange your peppermint candies in a circular shape on the parchment paper. Then, bake it in the oven for 5-7 minutes. In the meantime, do steps 3 and 4. 

  3. Place a bowl facedown on a table. 

  4. Wrap parchment paper around the bottom of the bowl, tucking any loose edges into the bowl. 

  5. When the peppermints come out of the oven they should look a little flattened and melted together. 

  6. Press the bottom of the bowl into the center of the peppermint melt.  

  7. Flip the bowl over. 


  8. Using an oven mitt, mold the peppermint melt around the bowl to give it its shape. 


  9. Let it cool for about 20 minutes. 

  10. Flip the bowl over and gently peel the parchment paper off the bottom of the peppermint melt. 

  11. Take the bowl out. 

  12. Gently peel the parchment paper off the top of the bowl, and voila! You made a melted peppermint bowl!  

  13. Now, scoop some ice cream into your bowl and have a holiday treat!
