Microwave Butterscotch Bars

How we did it:
Materials List
- vanilla wafers (3 cups)
- raisins (1/2 cup)
- butterscotch chips (1 cup)
- wheat germ (1/4 cup) - (optional)
- applesauce (2 cups)
-
Spray the bottom of an 8x8 microwave safe dish with cooking spray. Measure and put the vanilla wafers in a plastic bag. Crush the wafers with a rolling pin or ice scream scoop into medium sized pieces. Put half of the wafers in the bottom of the microwave dish.
-
In a different bowl, mix together the raisins, butterscotch chips, wheat germ, and applesauce.
-
Stir the ingredients and put them on top of the layer of wafers.
-
Put the other half of the crushed vanilla wafers on top. Microwave the dessert for 8 minutes.
-
Let it cool for about 20 minutes before cutting it into pieces and enjoying it together as a family. It turned out great and it was fun for the kids to be in charge of making it!
