Microwave Cherry PIe

How we did it:
Materials List
- cherry pie filling (21 oz. can)
- rolled oats (1/4 cup)
- almond extract (1/4 teaspoon)
- coconut (1/4 cup)
- flour (2 Tablespoons)
- brown sugar (2 Tablespoons)
- cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
- butter (2 Tablespoons)

Pour the can of cherry pie filling into a microwave safe dish. The size should be about 8 in. x 8 in.

In a different bowl, mix together the oats, coconut, flour, almond extract, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

Add 2 Tablespoons of butter to the bowl. Mix the butter in with the dry mixture. At first she kept trying to chop the butter with a knife into little pieces and eventually she just used her fingers to break it up and mix it.

Put the mixture on top of the cherry pie filling. Microwave for about 7 minutes. Let the cherry pie cool for about 10 minutes before serving it.

Serve it warm by itself or with a scoop of ice cream. She had fun making it and loved all of the compliments she got about how delicious it was!
