Mosaic Indian Elephant

How we did it:
Materials List
- paper
- foam (small mosaic squares) - or paper
- glue
- pen (or pencil)
- feathers
- spangles (for crown)
-
If you don't have mosaic tiles, you can easily cut some! We used some foam sheets with a peel-back sticky on one side, and some plain foam sheets with a glue stick. We had some that were sparkly, and Maddie thought they made a splendid saddle!
-
I asked Madeleine if she wanted to draw the elephant, or wanted me to. She said me, so I looked for a simple pattern, and drew it on her banner.
-
She had the tiles spread out a bit on the table, and went to work. She was thrilled over the sparkly ones!
-
I showed her that she could line the elephant's ear with sparkly silvers to make a little definition. "My fingers are sticky!" I complained. "Mine, too. That's all part of the fun, Sister!" she assured me.
-
Soon the tiles were filled in to her satisfaction. "Here are some crown pieces I found," I offered. "Ooh, this pink heart is perfect!" "And here are some feathers..."
-
He's all finished. And isn't he grand!?!
