Olympic Flame Painting

How we did it:
Materials List
- paint (red, orange, blue, brown, and black)
- construction paper (2 sheets: orange and brown)
- sponge
- scissors
- glue
- tape
-
We started by cutting flame shapes out of a sponge. Flames look rough around the edges. Our sponge flames did too.
-
He brushed the paint onto the sponges when he wanted to use a paint color that was in a small paint container.
-
A torch was cut out of a brown piece of paper to hold the flames.
-
Then the flames were glued onto the back of the torch and the torch was taped onto black paper. We taped the torch rather than gluing it down so, the torch could be carried by its handle when it wasn't hanging up on our fridge.
