Paper Plate Sheep

How we did it:
Materials List
- paper plate
- glue
- markers
- pom-poms
- craft sticks / popsicle sticks
-
We started by gathering up materials. Depending on the animal you want to make, you may want different materials. For us, once the five-year-old decided on a sheep, the three-year-old wanted a sheep as well, which made things pretty simple: we got some white pom-poms, plates, glue, and markers.
-
The kids started by coloring popsicle sticks for the feet. They only colored in half the stick, since the other half would be covered by the paper plate.
-
Then they added glue and white pom-poms (cotton balls would work just as well) to the plate to add the wool to the sheep.
-
Using foam stickers, they stuck the legs on the bottom of the sheep.
-
The kids added a little face to their sheep and they were done. Both kids loved making their sheep, and the activity kept them them occupied while I made dinner. The kids quickly turned it into a game of Little Bo Peep and took turns hiding and finding their new paper plate pets.
