Stick Quoits

How we did it:
Materials List
- twine
- sticks
- vine
- scissors
- pruning tool (for cutting vines)
-
First we looked around in the backyard for some straight sticks, then we cut some old vines off the fence.
-
I showed Maddie how to wind the vine around and around, into a thick, ten-inch circle.
-
When the ring had been woven, and seemed sturdy, we cut a piece of jute and tied it on where the ring began and ended, to make it extra sturdy.
-
Our thickest stick would be the hob. We poked it into the ground. Then we laid four sticks on the ground around it in a square. We were ready to play!
-
Tossing a ring over the pin (or hub) receives two points, while landing it into the square gets one point. The first to twenty points wins!
