Sun Mask

How we did it:
Materials List
- paper plates
- tissue paper - yellow
- glue
- scissors
- craft stick - large
- masking tape
- markers
-
I gathered all of the materials and cut the yellow tissue paper into strips.
-
The kids got to work gluing the tissue strips around the paper plate to create the sun rays. My two-year-old is really into glue and anything he can put it on right now, so this was perfect to keep him busy for a while.
-
We used dot painters to decorate the sun. I thought the kids would want to add faces, but they kept it realistic and opted for just adding more color.
-
On the back we taped a large craft stick so they could use the sun as a fun mask. I helped cut out eyes on each mask and we were all set.
-
They loved talking like the "sun" while holding up their sun masks!
