T-Shirt Fringe Necklace

How we did it:
Materials List
- t-shirt
- scissors
- chain link necklace
-
We all have those beloved t-shirts that our kids wear almost every day until they out grow their favorite shirt. That is when the favorite shirt becomes a night shirt for a little longer until it just has to go. We gave this one a new life to stick around a little longer.
-
First, cut the seam off the bottom of the shirt. Next, cut slits up the side about 1/2" apart. The fun part is letting the kids tear those slits across.
-
You end up with a bunch of t-shirt rings.
-
I cut the hoops open so I ended up with long t-shirt strands.
-
Next, my daughter threaded them through the chain necklace and tied once creating two hanging pieces.
-
Do this several more times and trim the edges up a bit.
-
There you have it. Favorite t-shirt re-invented!
