Tennis Ball Puppet

Anything that we can make talk in this house is a huge hit! My kids love to make silly voices, pretend, laugh, and make up wonderful stories from their sweet little imaginations. A tennis ball turned puppet looks silly enough, so you can imagine the fun my two little ones had with these playful talking balls!
How we did it:
Materials List
- tennis ball
- knife
- markers
- glue
- yarn
-
Gather your materials. We drew faces with markers, but you could also glue on beads and googly eyes for a fun face.
-
Grown-up step only: make a slice in the tennis ball where the mouth will be. I find it best to do the grown-up work before gathering the kids. This keeps little hands extra safe!
-
Emma was thrilled when she realized this would be turning into a puppet. She got right to work drawing on some fun face features and glued on yarn hair.
-
When she learned how to squeeze the ball and make her puppet talk, the giggles were nonstop! Her brother enjoyed having the puppet bite everything in sight!
