Tennis Ball Puppet

Tennis Ball Puppet

Anything that we can make talk in this house is a huge hit! My kids love to make silly voices, pretend, laugh, and make up wonderful stories from their sweet little imaginations. A tennis ball turned puppet looks silly enough, so you can imagine the fun my two little ones had with these playful talking balls!

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. tennis ball
  2. knife
  3. markers
  4. glue
  5. yarn
  1. Gather your materials. We drew faces with markers, but you could also glue on beads and googly eyes for a fun face.

  2. Grown-up step only: make a slice in the tennis ball where the mouth will be. I find it best to do the grown-up work before gathering the kids. This keeps little hands extra safe!

  3. Emma was thrilled when she realized this would be turning into a puppet. She got right to work drawing on some fun face features and glued on yarn hair.

  4. When she learned how to squeeze the ball and make her puppet talk, the giggles were nonstop! Her brother enjoyed having the puppet bite everything in sight!
