Watercolor Bookmarks

How we did it:
Materials List
- card stock paper
- scissors
- watercolor paint
- paint brush
- contact paper
- hole punch
- yarn
-
I cut the card stock into bookmark-sized rectangles and let the kids get to work on adding the color.
-
They used watercolor paints to dress these up. Any kind of paint or even stickers would work well for these fun bookmarks.
-
Once they were completely dry I laid them onto a large sheet of contact paper and covered them with another sheet. This will make our bookmarks durable, giving it an almost laminated finish.
-
My daughter loves the hole punch and was happy to help with this step to make room for our yarn.
-
She threaded yarn in each and tied it into a knot.
-
Pretty easy and the result was beautiful. These would even make a great party craft or favor....don't you think?
