Watercolor Fish

Watercolor Fish

I love the way my daughter draws her fish. I had to capture it on one of her beautiful watercolor abstracts. They turned into the perfect gift tag for a few birthday presents we had.

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. watercolor paints
  2. watercolor paper
  3. colored pencils
  4. scissors
  5. glitter glue (optional)
  1. We started out by just painting with watercolors. I told my daughter to just paint and explore with the different colors.

  2. She loves color mixing and watercolors are perfect for this.

  3. Once our painting was dry, I had her draw fish on the back using a crayon. I love the way she draws her little fish!

  4. I cut them out just the way she drew them. They are fun to look at and very special to save.

  5. These made the most unique gift tags for a few friends! With a little glitter glue our fish really came to life.
