Animal Leaf Friends

Animal Leaf Friends

My daughter loves leaves and animals so I decided to show her what the two look like together in this fun nature art project!

Ages:
3 - 9
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. paper
  2. markers
  3. leaves
  4. glue stick
  1. After collecting some leaves outside, my daughter began by gluing each leaf on white paper with a glue stick.

  2. I told her the leaves would be the animals' bodies and she had fun placing them around the paper.

  3. My daughter wanted to add grass first, so she used a marker and went for it!

  4. I asked her what kind of animals she wanted. She said "bug", so I did this part for her since she is almost 3 years old. Older kids could draw their own! I used the leaf as the body and drew a bug for her.

  5. Next, she said "bear"! She did some of the background and I drew a bear. It was fun working together.

  6. Next, she said she wanted a "dinosaur"! She wanted him to be green. We had a lot of fun turning nature into animal leaf friends!
