Apple Stamps

Apple Stamps

When you have an extra apple or two in the fridge, why not spare one to make hand-stamped tote bags? Our finished tote is the perfect bag to bring to the grocery store and we had a ton of fun making it our own!

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. apples
  2. tote bag
  3. paintbrushes
  4. acrylic paint
  1. With the help of an adult, cut your apples in half. Use a paintbrush to apply acrylic paint to the cut sides of the apple halves. We used one apple, but cut more apples if you want to use more colors!

  2. Flip your apple half over and press it down on the fabric like a stamp.

Tip: If not all of your paint shows up on the print, apply more paint to your apple to see better results.

  3. Once our apple prints were done, we added additional details with a paintbrush. What other designs or patterns can you make?
