Berry Picking Basket

Berry Picking Basket

One of our favorite summer activities is berry picking. We decided to make a fun basket for my children to take with us on our berry adventures and I have to say it came out pretty adorable. I may have to make one for myself!

Ages:
3 - 9
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. tissue paper - red
  2. scissors
  3. mod podge
  4. foam brush
  5. plastic container or tub
  6. hole punch
  7. pipe cleaner (1) - green
  1. We used a large yogurt tub for this so we could fit a good amount of berries inside.

  2. I cut the tissue paper into strips. We didn't have solid red, but this was a cute alternative.

  3. My daughter used mod podge to add the tissue paper strips to our container.

  4. She covered it completely with a about two layers of tissue. We set it out to dry for a couple hours.

  5. Once the glue was all dry we punched two holes in the top to add our pipe cleaner handle.

  6. The pipe cleaner worked great for a handle. We twisted each side to secure it well.

  7. Look how sweet our new berry basket turned out! It is the perfect size for my daughter to carry along and collect her berries.
