How we did it:

Materials List

  1. fabric paint or acrylic paint
  2. spouncer
  3. cloth napkins - blank
  4. celery
  5. paint tray
  6. knife - for the grownup assistant
  1. Gather your materials!

  2. Start by preparing the celery stamps. Cut off the stems of a celery bunch. You'll be left with a root stub and several stalks of celery

  3. Squeeze out several colors of paint onto a paint tray.

  4. Lay your napkins out on a surface. You may want to cover your work surface so the paint does not bleed through the napkins and onto the work surface.

  5. Use the spouncer to apply paint onto the celery, and then start stamping away! The root stub can be used to create a large rose. The ends of the stalks can be used to make leaves. Or, you can make any pattern you want with the edges of the celery.

  6. Once you are done stamping, let the paint fully dry before you use your napkins!
