DIY Window Clings

DIY Window Clings

We love bright colors and looking out the window. So, we tried our hand at making some bright and fun homemade window clings to add something fun to our view!

Ages:
2 - 9
Est. Time:
2+ hours

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. white glue
  2. ziploc bag
  3. scissors
  4. tape
  5. food coloring
  6. paint brush
  7. permanent markers (e.g., sharpies)
  8. dish soap
  1. Begin by cutting open a large ziploc bag and taping it down to your kiddo's work surface.

  2. Next, mix some white glue with a few drops of liquid dish soap and some food coloring and stir well. My daughter requested pink, green, and yellow. :)

  3. Next, have your kiddo start painting the plastic with the colored glue. The more the better—globs are great!

  4. My daughter worked until she was happy with her globs. Some mixed together and that was okay! Carefully peel off the plastic and lay somewhere to dry safely. We dried ours overnight!

  5. The next day, carefully peel off your clings. My daughter designed the one on the right with a sharpie marker and I did the one on the left! Stick them on your windows and enjoy!
