Delish Veggies & Dip
Recently, we were getting ready to host some friends at our place. Yet rather than set out sweets and processed treats, we decided to make some healthy treats with the kids. (When my kids help make food, they relish eating what they've made. Is the same true for you and your kids?)
How we did it:
- greek yogurt (3/4 cup)
- chives (2 tbs)
- lemon (1 tsp)
- garlic powder (1 tsp)
- onion powder (1 tsp)
- dijon mustard (1 tsp)
- salt (1/2 tsp)
First, we measured the Greek yogurt, chives, lemon, garlic powder, onion powder, and Dijon.
The kids mixed the ingredients together, and then we taste tested the dip to see how much salt to add.
Then I chopped the carrots and celery into long skinny sticks. (This is definitely a step for parents!)
We scooped a heaping spoonful of dip into the bottom of each mason jar, and the kids added the carrots and celery.
We stored the jars in the fridge for a few hours, then pulled them out for the party. So simple and healthy!
