Domino Necklace

Domino Necklace

We seem to find domino pieces throughout our house often. It's very funny because we never play dominoes (maybe because it seems we don't have a complete set...)/ My daughter and I decided to finally do something with all these wandering dominoes. We made some very beautiful, very simple necklaces.

Ages:
3 - 7
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. domino
  2. tacky glue
  3. beads
  4. yarn
  5. masking tape
  1. Emma and I rummaged through the craft drawer. First we thought we would use paints to decorate the dominoes, then we considered markers...once we settled on glue, we knew tiny little glass beads would be perfect.

  2. First we spread a thick layer of tacky glue on the domino using a Popsicle stick.

  3. Next, the magic happened as we sprinkled each one with an assortment of these precious little beads.

  4. They were beautiful before they were even dry. We knew at this point we were now addicted! Who has dominoes for sale?

  5. Once they dried, we attached yarn to the back with a small piece of masking tape. It holds really well. Be sure you attach the yarn closer to the top portion and in a straight line. This way the domino doesn't try to lean in crazy directions while being worn.

  6. These are really the sweetest little accessories. Emma is excited to add this to her homemade gift list this year. I know her cousins will love these!
