Duct Tape Magnets

Duct Tape Magnets

Duct tape has tons of uses! It's a lot of fun to craft with. Ever since my kids saw that it comes in fun colors and prints, we've been using it more and more. Today, we made some simple magnets.

Ages:
2 - 9
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. duct tape
  2. magnets
  3. scissors
  1. Start by gathering your supplies. We used simple black magnets and some fun, colorful duct tape.

  2. Start by cutting off two pieces of duct tape the same size. You can also tape a few pieces together to make a larger piece.

  3. Then stick a magnet in the center of one piece and place the other piece on top. Smooth it over the magnet.

  4. Then the kids can cut out any shape they want, making sure to cut around the magnet. We made squares, hearts, stars, circles, and triangles. It's great cutting practice and shape practice.

  5. Then your kids have fun homemade magnets to hang their artwork on the fridge!
