How we did it:

Materials List

  1. muffins
  2. icing
  3. graham crackers (2 per muffin)
  4. sprinkles
  5. mini marshmallows
  6. small cookies - (for walkway)
  1. I chose the healthiest muffins I could find at the grocery store and some fun things for decorating.

  2. We set up our muffin prep area with the graham crackers broken into segments of four for the roof tiles. Graham crackers that didn't break evenly were placed in a bowl to be used for fairy house doors. Mini marshmallows can be stacked to make a chimney (stick together with a dab of icing).

  3. We used our icing as glue and began to layer four graham cracker segments as roof tiles on the top of our muffins.

  4. We outlined our roof tiles with some more icing.

  5. We stuck on graham crackers for a door and outlined with icing.

  6. Added lots of sprinkles...

  7. The kids got quite creative with this project.

  8. Next, they lined up small cookies for a walkway to their fairy houses.

  9. We added some "magic fairy dust" (sprinkles) to the walkway.

  10. Ready to eat!

  11. They turned out so cute and they were delicious, too!
