Homemade Fruit Snacks

We love fruit snacks in this house so today we tried our hand at making our own!

Ages:

Est. Time:
<1 hour

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. unflavored gelatin (2 envelopes)
  2. 100% fruit juice concentrate (1/3 cup)
  3. saucepan
  4. measuring cup
  5. spoon
  6. ice cube molds
  1. Begin by pouring in 1/3 cup of 100% fruit juice concentrate into a small saucepan. My daughter loves to pour!

  2. Next, sprinkle 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin in the juice.

  3. Let this sit for a few minutes to absorb. My daughter couldn't wait to taste these!

  4. Then, adult time! Heat the mixture over medium high until all the gelatin is dissolved.

  5. Let it cool a little, then pour it into a measuring cup for your kiddo to pour out. We poured the mixture into mini ice cube tray molds! Watch out for overflow!

  6. Now, pop them into the fridge for about 20 minutes to cool and set.

  7. Then, pop them into your mouth and enjoy!
