Make a Crab Headband

Make a Crab Headband

Your children will have so much fun making and wearing this crab headband!

Ages:
3 - 7
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. craft foam
  2. pipe cleaners
  3. googly eyes
  4. glue
  1. Cut a long strip from the foam that will go around your child's head. Our strip wasn't quite long enough so we made it longer by attaching it in the back with an extra pipe cleaner when she wore it. Cut two circles for the eyes and two claw shapes. If you child is old enough, draw the shapes on the craft foam and have your child cut them out.

  2. Glue the googly eyes to the foam circles and glue a foam circle onto the top of each pipe cleaner.

  3. Next, glue each pipe cleaner to the headband or punch a hole in the band and wrap the pipe cleaner through to attach it. Glue on the claws and draw a mouth (optional). She had a great time chasing her brother around and pretending to be a pinching crab. This would be the perfect craft for a letter C day (C is for Crab) or it would be a hit at a Little Mermaid or Under the Sea-themed birthday party!
