Marshmallow Shooters

Marshmallow Shooters

This is such a fun and simple activity to do with young kids when it’s too cold to play outdoors! Create mini marshmallow shooters with everyday household items. Get extra cozy with some hot cocoa and see how many marshmallows land inside your mug! It kept my high-energy nieces and nephews busy for quite some time.

Ages:
5 - 10
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. balloons
  2. mini marshmallows
  3. plastic cups
  4. scissors
  1. Gather your materials.

  2. Carefully cut out the bottom of the plastic cup. If needed, an adult should do this step.

  3. Leaving the balloon deflated, tie a knot to close the opening. Then, cut about a quarter inch off the top of the balloon to create a large opening.

  4. Stretch the balloon over the bottom opening of the plastic cup. Give the knot a tug to make sure it is on securely.

  5. Now your marshmallow shooter is ready! Load up the marshmallows and give the balloon a tug to see how far they go!
