How we did it:

Materials List

  1. pipe cleaners
  2. pasta
  3. pony beads
  4. containers (to sort beads)
  1. As I started gathering the materials, my two-year-old V had fun sorting the beads by color and type. Along with sorting, this is also the perfect activity for talking about colors. V loves to do this; sorting is a popular pastime in this house!

  2. I started V off with a loop fastened at the bottom of the pipe cleaner so she had an end to catch the beads as she beaded.

  3. Now the fun part: Have your kiddos bead the pipe cleaners to make their bracelets! This activity also works on fine motor skills too: fitting the beads on the pipe cleaners.

  4. When V got about 3/4 of the way up the pipe cleaner, I took the end of the pipe cleaner through the hole to latch them together and wove the excess pip cleaner through the last bead.

  5. And there you have it: some beautiful bangles to adorn your wrist!
