Pool Noodle Toss

Pool Noodle Toss

Transform the ordinary ring toss to a giant outdoor game. This activity is super quick to set up and perfect for entertaining kids and adults alike! It kept my high-energy boys entertained for hours, which was the perfect afternoon activity. All you need are a few pool noodles and wooden dowels to get started.

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. pool noodles
  2. ¾” thick dowels
  3. duct tape
  4. mallet / hammer
  1. Start by sticking some dowels into the ground. Ours were about 2 feet long.

Tip: To adjust the size, have an adult help cut the dowel down to the desired length.

  2. Place a pool noodle over the dowel. You may need to cut the pool noodle in half if it is too tall. This will be your target!

  3. To make a tossing ring, cut a piece of dowel to 4 inches long.

  4. Connect the two ends of a pool noodle with the 4 inch dowels.

  5. Use duct tape to secure the two ends to each other. For more fun, create several rings in different colors.

  6. Stand back and toss the rings onto the pool noodle target! Challenge a friend to see who can throw more rings onto the pool noodle.
