Rainbow Spinning Art
How we did it:
- tempera paints
- card stock
- hole punch
- salad spinner
Cut out a circle on cardstock paper. Your circle should be small enough to fit inside the salad spinner.
Place the circle inside the salad spinner and squeeze some paint onto the circle.
Tip: To help the paint spread more evenly later, make sure to scatter the paint blobs on the paper as shown.
Close the salad spinner and spin!
Experiment with the placement of the paint. What kinds of patterns can you create? What about colors? What colors mix together to create new ones?
Once you have a design that you like, carefully remove the paper and let the paint dry.
Once the paint has dried, use a hole punch to punch out a hole on the top.
Attach a string to your finished piece and hang it up on the wall. How many different designs and patterns can you create?
