Spring Necklace

Spring Necklace

This fun, spring-colored necklace is easy to make, using plastic cording, beads, and -- get this -- duct tape!

Ages:
3 - 9
Est. Time:
<1 hour

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. duct tape sheets
  2. cardstock (or heavy paper)
  3. plastic cording
  4. beads
  5. scissors
  6. assorted paper punches (optional)
  7. hole punch
  1. Gather your materials. We used decorative paper punches, but they're not necessary. The same effect can be achieved by cutting your desired shapes out with plain scissors.

  2. Peel off the duct tape sheets and apply to cardstock. The easiest way to do this is to line up the cardstock on the duct tape sheets and cut around to match the shape. V loved peeling the tape off! The sheets were easy to apply and move around.

  3. Once your tape sheets have been applied, punch out (or cut out) your shapes. We went a little punch crazy and came nowhere close to needing all the punches we made. But we had fun punching!

  4. Next, we punched holes in all the punched pieces to thread onto our necklaces. I then tied a knot on one end of the plastic cording.

  5. Now, it's time to thread the necklace. We alternated with beads and our punches to create our spring jewelry.

  6. Once you're finished beading, tie another knot on the finished end, and then tie the ends together to complete the look. Lovely!
