Sticker Dots Resist Watercolor Painting

Sticker Dots Resist Watercolor Painting

We love the look of watercolors at our house so we tried an art project to make those colors "pop" even more!

Ages:
2 - 9
Est. Time:
<30 mins

How we did it:

Materials List

  1. sticker dots
  2. paper
  3. watercolor paints
  1. I started this project off by giving my daughter some sticker dots. You can find these dots at any office supply store. She set to work right away sticking them on her paper.

  2. Then, she began a watercolor paint wash by painting directly over her dots.

  3. She was very thoughtful about the colors she chose. :)

  4. Once she was happy with her painting, we set it aside to dry and then I helped her carefully peel off the dots. She said, "Oh! Polka Dots!" We all loved the look of the paint resist after the stickers were peeled away. Enjoy!
