Water Lily Watercolor Pencil Picture
How we did it:
- watercolor pencils
We started by drawing a water lily on white paper. I did this step for my three year daughter, but for older kids definitely encourage them to do this themselves! It helps to have a picture handy to look at.
Next, my daughter set to work shading in the colors. These watercolor pencils came in so many colors and we loved the fact the had dots on them for easy gripping!
Next, we took the paintbrush that the pencils came with and my daughter dipped the brush into some water and started washing over her coloring. The darker you draw, the more it blends or you can color lighter for a more subtle effect.
My daughter enjoyed watching the colors mix together. She said to me, "Mommy, pretty lily!" And I agreed! Have fun making your watercolor pencil lily!
